On the heels of an endorsement for Barack Obama from Caroline Kennedy and the news that Ted Kennedy is going to endorse Obama tomorrow, the Clinton campaign released this statement of endorsement from Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, former Lt. Governor of Maryland:

FLINT, Mich. – Former Vice President Al Gore will appear in Detroit tonight for his debut campaign appearance with Senator Barack Obama, extending an endorsement and urging all Democrats to rally behind the party’s fall ticket.

“A few hours from now I will step on stage in Detroit, Michigan to announce my support for Senator Barack Obama,” Mr. Gore said in an e-mail sent to his supporters. “From now through Election Day, I intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the United States.”

Serve with the General - Final Round Voting is Open!

Cross posted at MyDD

I am just passing on a contest. This contest is to see where Wes Clark will go to help support and raise funds. This contest/fundraiser is being conducted with Democrats Work

The most valuable reason Wes is needed as running mate

|

I think that Wes has become very tenacious for the Party and for veterans seeking office. Many states' Dems have heard of what he's accomplished at that level, and they should be grateful to him. They should want to work harder for BO because Wes is his running mate. So, the General could be an amazing asset not because he just naturally picks up votes by being out there, but because he inspires the party loyalists to pick ourselves up and work to reclaim the prize.

I owe immense thanks to Stan & Tricia for helping me get this letter out to every Super Delegate we can find, no matter who they're for right now. I never intended to write one of these, but after this week's debate and fallout, I didn't feel like I had a choice. --Kelly

Hello Everyone:

I was very happy to see that The New York Times endorsed Hillary Clinton's Presidential candidacy today!

Here are the portions of this endorsement which I think summarize very well the choice that Democratic primary voters have to make:
