Foreign Policy | Hillary Clinton | Iraq | veterans | Democratic politics

UPDATE: There's an excellent diary on this story at No Quarter.
I understand why these warriors respect her, they find in her a kindred spririt, a toughness, a tenacity and a willingness to fight against the odds for what is right. Barack likes to claim that he is, “skinny, but he’s tough,” but Hillary has fought alongside these Generals and Admirals on issues they deeply care about. She has earned their respect.

Barack Obama | Foreign Policy | Hillary Clinton | Katrina | Pakistan | Democratic politics

Hillary calls Trib visit "counter-intuitive" but makes it clear she is happy to do it.
Hillary talks about Gulf Coast with Pittsburgh Trib revealing her many concerns with how the Bush administration mishandled the Katrina disaster.

Conflict Resolution | Diplomacy | Foreign Policy | Good Friday Agreement | Hillary Clinton | Ireland | International

Bertie Ahern, Ireland's Taioseach (Prime Minister), is on record that Hillary gave very important assistance to the Irish peace process. It's also wonderful to see this video of Hillary with Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness, two leaders who deserve our greatest respect for the way they are working together to secure long-term peace in Northern Ireland.

Foreign Policy | Hillary Clinton | Democratic politics

Lissa Muscatine and Melanne Verveer at Huffpost highlight HRC's international experience. This may have a lot to do with why Wes decided to endorse her.
Anyone who doubts Hillary Clinton's impact on the world stage might want to check with the top political leaders in Northern Ireland, who cite her work to end sectarian violence there and help secure a lasting peace.

Barack Obama | Foreign Policy | Wes Clark | Democratic politics

....or lack thereof.
But not just his lack of FP experience, lack of FP vision.
Wes has spent the past 4 years trying to turn the Democratic Party into a "full service" party. It's been a tough row to how. Democrats traditionally have no real interest in FP....except when it's thrust upon them. Wes wants to change all that.
Snippets from conversations with supporters in the Hamptons, some time back, tell us that Wes sees BO in this category. An "old time Democrat", I think he called him. Maria, and others who were there can probably provide more information.
