I've been trying to understand the rules of football for 40 years. I'm tickled when sportscasters during a major event argue over a particularly arcane rule.
Maybe you can tell I grew up taking ballet lessons instead of playing football and I only tune in occasionally while my husband is watching a game. But I loved watching the old Celtics basketball team of the 1960's featuring the greats Bob Cousy and Bill Russell. And I remember how Terry Bradshaw skidded down an icy field, turtle style on his back during a Superbowl many years ago and I appreciated Peyton Mannings spectacular end zone touchdown pass to Marvin Harrison-- sorry to Reggie Wayne in last night's game.
