2008 Presidential Selector

Candidates 2008
OK, let's have a little fun. Most, if not all here, say they support Wes Clark in 2008. But let's have some fun with this. I just found this Presidential Candidates Selector tool. It tells you which matches your preferences best. I had no idea what this thing would spit out for me, given my answers to the questions. I'm proud to say Wes Clark was 1st for me, then Feingold. No surprises there. Have a go at it and post your results in this thread. No gaming. Answer the questions honestly, not what you think will get you Wes Clark as #1!

Kucinich came up for me, then Feingold, then Clark. And I ain't no knee-jerk liberal.

If not us, WHO? If not now, WHEN?

This selector has mainly the dimension of issues, it does not address other things that matter just as much in making a selection. My support for Wes is not just a matter of issues, as I do find disagreements, but of what is good for America and several fronts.
So it is fun, but only an issue-indicator not a presidential-selector.

Those are exactly the results that I got. Exactly.
But going through the "information" section, I could see why. Apparently the General has the same rating on the war as the people who voted for it.
And, as noted below, many areas which should be clearly known, are marked "unknown." Actually, I'm surprised that Wes ended up in my top three.

My results were
Kucinich
Clark
Feingold
in that order even tho I marked as high priority that my selection should not have served in congress

On this page it says Clark's stance on civil liberties is unknown or in the middle. So when I marked that question as high priorty did that automatically move Kucinich and Feingold up because they were sourced as supporting protecting civil liberties as opposed to decreasing civil liberties?
Surely there are documents showing Wes supports protecting civil liberties. If someone could find instances it might be worth sending the info to SelectSmart.com.
"Some of them put on their cowboy boots and put their feet up on the desk." -Wes Clark

Wes is definitely on the record as being pro-civil rights - for example, the online phone record thing. He's been VERY careful to call attention to protecting our Constitution many many times- often in television appearances & with great frequency in speeches. When it comes to protecting civil liberties, Wes is a bit of a "hawk."
There's even one or two speeches- I'll have to scratch my head about it- where this theme is one of his main points. A New Hampshire Road to the White House from early winter maybe is one? People here will know.
if someone does alert them I think it is also "improper" for them to say "ex-General" when they mean "retired," right? Not to pick nits.

entered a lawsuite on a Michigan? equal opportunity case. Forgot the details. They didn't do their research.

Wes filed an amicus curiae brief touting the Army's benefits from affirmative action. Wes strongly supports affirmative action.
I think there were two such cases, one for the undergraduate program and another for the law school. I don't know in which case Wes weighed in. In each case, the issue was admissions criteria.

Wes supported Michael Moore's First Amendment Rights when the rest of them were wetting their pants.
