I've used that as my signature off and on for over five years. Right now, though, I'm going with the quote below.

Here's the Massa for Congress press release on yesterday's debate:

I find it boring as hell during the season, but the playoffs are fun.

I would hope O will keep his promise to help with her $20 million debt. He should have put her on the ticket. She's a real trooper.
I voted "No" of course:

Do you think Sarah Palin is qualified to serve as Vice President of the United States?
Yes 49%
No 49%
Not Sure 0%
OMG. I guess that makes me overqualified to be VP.
Let's see, I was PTA president when my offspring was in jr. high school; was a baseball mom, soccer mom, AND basketball mom for four years each, and my husband was the coach for each sport; college-educated; closing in on 30 years of marriage in the not too distant future; I can locate Russia on a map, know what isobars are, and have been trained by my local police in how to fire a side arm.
Yep, that's it. I'm running in 2012.
Proud to be an American.

Nice photo here:
Clark and Hillary at rally for Obama>
Caption for the photo reads: Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., waves after a campaign rally in support of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., Friday, Oct. 10, 2008 outside the Capitol in Little Rock, Ark., as retired Gen. Wesley Clark, back left, and Sen. Vic Synder, D-Ark., back right, look on.
As always, it is Wes who grabs my attention.
Uncle Noel

All in one day. I keep hoping Hillary will have some input into the cabinet posts and such and that Wes will stillo be in a position where America can benefit from his experience, wisdom and common sense -- not to mention his humanity, humor and passion.
Uncle Noel

The Obama club is a closed one and Wes isn't a member. But, as long as he is in the world he will find ways to serve the greater good.

I agree, Susan, but I don't think the Senate club and other clubs are closed to him. We'll hope that congressional leaders and other administration leaders will still have an ear open for Wes's views. I think also that Joe Biden and Wes have a good relationship.
The problem is that his voice will be whispered in those ears, and we may never know how influential he is. The conversations will be private, not public, in all likelihood.

Joe Biden could pull the strings. I think they were a great team during the balcan crisis.
I don´t think that the Obama club is a fortress. Once the Democrats win the election, a massive job surge will hit the road, thousands of applications will be written to oust the Republicans, mostly all administration levels should be occupied by democrats. Of course every administration Dem or Rep hope to represent the best team but sometimes people with connections will get the bigger cake, it´s questionable if they are the most qualified.

Aw, noel, I love seeing pictures of those two together....I made a blog about it a while ago HERE.
Unfortunately, I think Susan's right. I don't think either Wes or Hillary will have much, if any at all, influence in an Obama Administration. Obama had to be shamed by Steve Clemons into having Wes simply appear onstage at the Convention.
Sadly, I think we lost our best shot at having Wes in a position of major influence in the White House when forces conspired to make sure Hillary lost. Too bad for all of us. :(
“The Obama campaign could have said they agreed with me. Go ask them why they didn’t stand up for me.” ~ Wes Clark regarding the McCain comment brouhaha, as reported by student blogger Jason Plautz

In an attempt to enhance his legacy and place his stamp on the direction of the war after he leaves office, President George W Bush is expected to announce a “surge” of up to 10,000 troops in Afghanistan as part of a political, military and diplomatic offensive in the region after the November 4 elections.

President Hamid Karzai has offered Taliban leaders the possibility of positions in his government if they agree to a peace deal which could bring fighting to an end.

I wonder what Russia will give to Afghanistan to get us out.
Good grief. Doesn't anyone learn anything from history anymore???

You will determine whether rage or reason guides the United States in the struggle to come. You will choose whether we are known for revenge or compassion. You will choose whether we, too, will kill in the name of God, or whether in His name, we can find a higher civilization and a better means of settling our differences.
