"There are NO uninsured..." - McCain advisor

Health Care

Where does John McCain find his advisors? They seem to be the most callous, non-empathetic old men in the world. Read what his health-care advisor has to say about the growing number of people who are uninsured for health-care.
"But the numbers are misleading, said John Goodman, president of the National Center for Policy Analysis, a right-leaning Dallas-based think tank. Mr. Goodman, who helped craft Sen. John McCain's health care policy, said anyone with access to an emergency room effectively has insurance, albeit the government acts as the payer of last resort. (Hospital emergency rooms by law cannot turn away a patient in need of immediate care.)
"So I have a solution. And it will cost not one thin dime," Mr. Goodman said. "The next president of the United States should sign an executive order requiring the Census Bureau to cease and desist from describing any American – even illegal aliens – as uninsured. Instead, the bureau should categorize people according to the likely source of payment should they need care.
"So, there you have it. Voila! Problem solved."
Is this man that unconcerned with his fellow man? Would John McCain really officially get rid of uninsured Americans by unilaterally declaring they don't exist?
We can't afford any more policies of cold, callous, unfeeling old men to be enacted in our country.
These repukes! The more I read stuff like this, the more I want to just head butt them! Grrrr!

This is worse than Phil Gramm's "nation of whiners" comment.
4 more months, not four more years!
Obama Biden 08!

on center stage yesterday. The McCain campaign threw this gentleman under the bus and said he no longer speaks for them, but Josh Marshall had several stories up about this yesterday.

We learn. We change. That's progress. If we don't do that, well, we're GWB.
