Call For Yearly Kos CCN Volunteers

| | |

For all CCN & Clarkies attending Yearly Kos:

We are seeking CCN & "Clarkie" Volunteers to help with many activities necessary for a successful effort to document or provide CCN/Clark SIW - related activities during this 4 day convention.

Some possible Yearly Kos Clark CCN volunteer needs might be for some folks to:

Audio and video record General Clark's Friday AM Keynote address, also to record for our use,
videos during the convention, of Clark and Stop Iran War-related activities and interactions.

A Digital Photographer.

Someone with a DVD playing TV,and/or slide show projector:

Live Blogging from Y-Kos.

You Tell US; What else you can and are willing to do!

ALSO - Volunteers to staff a potential Clark/Stop Iran War/CCN related Information Center
during the Yearly Kos Convention.

This Information Center might be a booth, table, or Hospitality Room.

Please note this is still in the Planning stages since we are waiting for approval of activities.

I hope to coordinate our Volunteer efforts for the Convention.

SO – I am asking for volunteers to send me an E-mail to:

.

IF our plans are approved - We will coordinate details by E-mail exchange soon.

It would be helpful if you included your cell phone number, that I could use as a contact
during the convention.

Also – for those of you renting hotel rooms.

Do we have one Volunteer to allow use of the room part-time as a POSSIBLE (if approved) Hospitality room? If this happened – the room would only be open when monitored by CCN staff volunteers.

Of course not during Clark’s Keynote address.

The Grace O'Malley party Friday evening – and any possible Clark Information Center – will be a great opportunity to learn from each other and to Network, not only with other Clarkies, but Yearly Kos attendees representing organizations with related concerns, goals, and an unsurpassed opportunity for us to unify and magnify our efforts nationwide.

Thank You, Lee

When you say digital camera, do you mean video, still shots or both?

Welcome to the CCN, JoeColo.

"JoeColo" is an old Clarkie hand here in Colorado. He just hasn't been a CCN blogger, although I know he spends quality time at Kos. Great guy, hard worker, former house district chair, the whole nine yards. He and I are vets of both the Clark and Mike Miles for Senate movements.

based on how many times people had to stand up & sit down & stand with John Edwards at the Winter Meeting, please put me down to volunteer for something, anything- during his keynote in particular. Half kidding here (only half), but I'd love to be of service & support Wes at YearlyKos.

And I will gladly work some hours at the conference that best fit any needs & will send email to you tomorrow or contact me through the web form. I'll ask my roomie about the possibility for hosting hospitality, but can't say yes or no with no a little more likely.

Thanks for thoughtfully coordinating this, it is much appreciated & I was so happy to read this message.

I thought I'd post this here first, Lee and crew, because Ilona wrote to say that she'll appreciate any outreach we can do on her panel that follows General Clark's keynote in the same room.

There will be a screening for the movie "In The Valley of Elah" at 9:30 that night back at the convention center. Ilona Meagher has been asked by Warner Independent to take part in pre-release screenings by doing Q&As on PTSD and reintegration afterwards. However, although she is planning to be at the one at YK, because it is so late, they may not be including time for an official session. Still, I hope the other YK attendees will take advantage of the opportunity to be there when she is, just in case there is some time for that. Also, they're looking for RSVPs, so maybe there is limited space.

"In the Valley of Elah" Screening
Friday August 3, 2007 9:30 p.m.
McCormick Place Convention Center- Room 105D
